Town Hall: Future of Fiscally Sponsored Artists and Arts Projects

Sunday, March 26, 2017, 6:00-8:30 p.m., New York Live Arts, 219 West 19th Street, New York, NY

#townhall #FiscallySponsoredArtists

Organized by Dance/NYC, nine fiscal sponsor partners and CreateNYC, this town hall explores the characteristics, needs, and opportunities of the citywide community of arts workers involved in fiscally-sponsored projects.

The future-focused conversation is grounded in the results of a recently completed survey issued to nearly 3,000 artists, arts workers, and volunteers that work with fiscal sponsors. The outcomes will inform ongoing cultural planning for the City of New York.

This research-based initiative focused on fiscally-sponsored artists and arts projects follows recent studies on the workforce of legally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts and culture organizations led by Ithaka S+R, Dance/NYC, and DataArts. Dance/NYC is the project lead. Partners include Brooklyn Arts Council, The Center for Traditional Music and Dance, City Lore, The Field, Fractured Atlas, GOH Productions, New York Foundation for the Arts, New York Live Arts, and Pentacle.
